Chapter Strategy Discussion #3

Sunday, Jun 09

All XR members, both new and experienced, are welcomed to join in a large conversation about our chapter's strategy. We have previous met twice to discuss topics such as our NNFFI campaign, how we can best build a mass NVDA movement, and what steps need to be taken to do that. These questions probed into aspects of our campaign demand, our messaging, our action strategy, and the way we organize ourselves. These conversations were valuable in understanding the challenges our chapter faces and how we may face them.

These meetings are loosely facilitated discussion rounds consisting of small group discussion followed by a large group harvest sessions. Our time is limited, so small groups will be no larger than seven members each, and each participant will be given a fixed maximum amount of time to speak to guarantee that everyone's voice is heard. Note that this a space for open discussion and is not a time where decisions are made. An agenda will be shared in advance to all who RSVP and will contain discussion topics.

We will begin at 4:30pm and end at 7:30pm. The first 30 minutes will be social time, food, and a check-in round. We will then begin our first round promptly at 5pm. This is in-person in the Rosa Parks Room at the Democracy Center in Cambridge. Food (with vegan options) and beverages will be provided.

*Covid policy per the Democracy Center: Masks and vaccination are encouraged but not required to attend. The Democracy Center runs air purifiers in the space at all times.
