Telling the Truth With Kids

Extinction Rebellion's first demand is to tell the truth. Should we tell the scary truth to our kids? How, and from what age? How do we support them with 'realistic' hope and action?

In this online discussion, Australian developmental psychologist and climate activist Ann Sanson will talk about the psychological factors involved in climate change denial, children’s understandings of the crisis, why we should tell the truth with them, and how best to engage children around this issue. She will be joined by a local middle school student, Zaina Hussain, who will provide a youth perspective. There will be time for Q&A and group discussion. Hosted by the Washington Heights and Inwood Extinction Rebellion neighborhood group. All welcome!
