Solidarity Event: Chase Earns while Australia Burns

Protest from 10:00AM to 11:30AM

Australia is on fire. The fires in New South Wales are the largest in state history and have burned more area than has been ever been documented. 1 billion animals have died and at least 30 people. Homes are burning to the ground.

Scientists say the recent fires in Australia are a taste of what the world will experience as temperatures rise. Why are temperatures rising? Because of banks like JPMorgan Chase.

JP Morgan Chase is the #1 Worst Bank in the World for funding fossil fuel projects. A recent report shows that Chase has put 196 Billion Dollars into tar sands, arctic drilling, and fracking--more than any other bank.

Wells Fargo, Citibank, and Bank of America are also top global funders of the fossil fuel industry.

Join us for a protest, calling on Chase to divest from fossil fuels and invest in renewables. Please bring any noise makers you have (tambourines, whistles, the like) as well as your energy. We will provide banners, flame signs, flyers, and maybe a brass band.
