[Justice Solidarity] Dismantle Now! BIPOC Solidarity Against White Supremacy

Wednesday, Jul 08

CHANGE THE NAME | TAKE 'EM DOWN | HONOR THE ANCESTORS

We Demand: 1. Honor a participatory truth and reconciliation process with BIPOC communities on symbols of white supremacy.

  1. Commit to immediate removal of all symbols of white supremacy.

  2. Abolish the cops and invest in economic development and self determination of BIPOC communities.

Local developments: On June 4, 2020, Mayor Walsh vowed Boston would lead "in healing the wounds of our history and building a more just future.”

One month later, community members continue to call for structural changes: from the removal of white supremacist symbols to defunding the police and investing in Black and Indigenous communities.

Join us: DISMANTLE NOW! BIPOC Solidarity Against White Supremacy

March + Art Action

B.Y.O.S. (Bring Your Own Shade) Because we are holding this action at the start of July, we are encouraging all participants to bring umbrellas and hand fans in lieu of signage. Umbrellas and fans should be decorated with messages in solidarity with the demands.
