HONK! For Our Future, Four Years to Save the Planet

Join Extinction Rebellion Youth Boston and Cambridge’s Band Land Brass Band for a youth-organized and led HONK! Festival march to highlight the urgency of the climate crisis and demand governments, schools, and businesses rapidly reduce greenhouse emissions. All generations are welcome to participate. We'll meet on Saturday, October 9th at 2pm at Cambridge City Hall and march down Mass Ave to MIT.

This August, Scientist Rebellion members leaked the IPCC 2022 report. The report stated that carbon emissions must peak within 4 years to prevent climate breakdown. Local, state and national leaders are not acting with urgency to end fossil fuel reliance. Our future is at stake. We must act now!

Green Cambridge will bring giant puppets of local endangered animals. The Red Rebels will join the march. Speakers will include Quinton Zondervan, Cambridge City Councilor, and representatives from Mothers Out Front and MIT Divest.
