[Solidarity] Eastie Farm Clean Up (UPDATED)

Help Eastie Farm to clear their new site at 6 Chelsea Terrace for the first geothermal greenhouse in Massachuetts. Eastie Farm is dedicated to pursuing climate justice, improving food access, and fostering community resilience through the development of interactive urban agricultural spaces. The planned greenhouse would allow the East Boston community the substantially expand their production of healthy, locally-grown, and culturally relevant foods. Moreover it is a lighthouse project of carbon neutral food production.

In order to get the site ready for the drilling and construction work, the site needs to be cleared. We will weed the existing beds, mow the grass and weed whack or pull the larger weeds, organize the "things" onsite and then I can help create keep and toss piles, and just generally make the site look nice.

We advise to wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and a sunhat. We will provide tools and gloves as available. If you have your own, it would be great you can bring them. Please sign up below to make sure we can plan accordingly and get possible last-minute information to you.
