Candle Lighting of the Monumento a la 6ta Extinction

At 6:30pm come to the ceremonial lighting of candles at the Monumento a la 6ta Extinction by artist Rosalba Solis at Elm St in Davis Square. This monument, made for the Honk Festival and inspired by the Central American pyramids and the Day of the Dead, focusses on the destruction of nature, extinction of animals, the refugee crisis and loss of homes, habitat and lives. Throughout the day you are invited to add your thoughts to the monument. Then at dusk we will gather to light the candles.
