Governor Baker's Environmental Injustice Crimes

Saturday, Aug 14

Governor Baker pretends to be a climate leader. But in reality, Governor Baker and his administration repeatedly allow fossil fuel infrastructure projects to be developed in the lowest income and most vulnerable communities – even in the face of overwhelming public opposition at hearings. Join us on Aug 14th if you want to stand up for local leaders fighting these climate and environmental injustices!

Extinction Rebellion and Sunrise Boston are working in partnership with a number of environmental justice organizations to deliver a strong message to Baker that he can no longer get away with this. Our partners are fighting pipeline expansion in Springfield, brand new natural gas plants in Peabody, sea-level electrical infrastructure in East Boston, and a natural gas compressor station that regularly leaks in Weymouth. These are just 4 examples.

Join us on Saturday August 14th at 1:30pm in front of the State House to deliver our demands Note: rain date Sunday August 15th at 1:30pm.

Join us to hear from the local leaders about these critical issues, make some leave-behind art while listening to music, and deliver our demands to Baker's office at the State House.

This is the time to stand up for our most vulnerable communities. Join us <3
